Report: High School Teachers' Retreat 2017
On April 4-6, 2017, Odyssey in Christ conducted a Deeper Walk Retreat for 300 high school teachers from Signal Village National High School in Taguig City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Dr. Larry Hinkle, Director of Odyssey In Christ with his OIC team, led two retreats of 150 teachers each.The retreat provided an opportunity for participants to deepen and rest in their awareness of God's love and work in their lives. It included topics on spiritual disciplines, such as solitude, silence, spiritual practices of Jesus, discernment, lectio divina, flesh and blood spirituality, and spiritual rhythms. Some topics were facilitated by the OIC core group of Odyssey in Christ Philippines led by Dr. Reynaldo Taniajura, Mrs. June Taniajura, and Alicia Davis. Other program aspects of the retreats were supplied by the OIC core team members: Pastor Pol Makahiya, Pastor Ricardo Sayo, Pastor Claro Ting, Mrs. Vicky Constantino, Mrs. Sylvia Roxas, Mr. and Mrs. Ruel Avila.
